Four generations, one vocation.
The Sapori del Grano Bakery is found in Ancona, where, for over 150 years, the Taccalite family have baked delicious specialities. Always seeking the highest quality by choosing the finest ingredients and carefully preparing the handmade products. The fourth generation of the family, aiming to the market of traditional tastes and speciality bakery started making the cheese products; and the cheese panettone and biscuits are now the jewels in the Sapori del Grano’s crown.
The ‘Cantucci’ biscuits are one of the most celebrated products in Italian Bakery. Originally from Prato, Tuscany, each region such as Le Marche has a variation in its ingredients. Our biscuits follow the original recipe but have added Honey and Butter to enrich them. Our biscuits have maintained their traditional stretched and diagonally cut shape, which is formed after the first baking. Our biscuits have a golden outer layer and they are made with an abundance of high quality peeled almonds. The ingredients are: flour, sugar, fresh free range eggs, butter, almonds, honey.
The Brutti ma Buoni, ‘Ugly but Good’ are typical biscuits from Central and Northern Italy. Their irregular shape is ‘ugly’ but their flavour is absolutely unique. They are made with almonds, sugar, eggs, butter.
The Ossi da Mordere, ‘Bones of the dead’ are crunchy biscuits typical of North Italy. They are traditionally eaten at Halloween. The ingredients are: Piedmont IGP Hazelnuts, sugar, egg whites, cocoa powder.
The fourth generation of the family, focusing on flavors and bakery specialties and property run impeccably in a world market began marketing the cake : traditional, chocolate, figs and nuts, berries. A product genuine, soft and good as freshly baked at the bakery, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste.
